Want to Run Where It's Flat, Fast & Fun?

Here are answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions about the White River Marathon.

What is this race like?

The following is an unsolicited quote regarding a previous WRM:

“It’s a small race – 700 people combined for the 5k, half marathon and full marathon. It was flat and fast, attracting those hoping to qualify for Boston. A friendly and low-key attitude appeals to ultra- and trail-runners who want a quick road race. And being relatively cheap with flexible registration and packet pickup attracts the 50-Staters and Marathon Maniacs.” - Anna Ritz www.starrunnersmemphis.com

Where do we go?
181 Mabel, Cotter, AR 72626 is the address for Cotter Schools.  You'll see plenty of signage to pull you right into packet pickup and our base of operations.

Is there a time limit?

Yes.  The time limit is 7 hours.  Runners still on the course at 2:00 pm will be picked up.

What city should I fly into?

Check with the airports at Branson, Missouri,  Little Rock, Arkansas and Springfield Missouri. Branson is 1 and ½ hrs away, Little Rock is 3hrs15 min. away and Springfield is 2 hrs away.

Is there a registration limit?

Yes.  Because we strive to deliver a quality event, we limit the total number of participants to 750.  This keeps the course less congested and allows us to provide better services to our runners.  The 5K event is the only event that we segregate with it's own limit which is set at 100 participants.

What time will online registration close?

If the event has not sold out, online registration will close at 11:59 pm Nov. 21, 2019. Please have your paper/mail-in registrations post-marked by Oct. 1, 2019.

Can I register on-site?

Because we strive to provide a high quality event, on-site registration will only be available on the Friday evening proceeding the event during packet pickup and the pre-race pasta dinner.  If the event has sold out prior to this date, on-site registration will NOT be available.   Regardless of registration numbers, we will NOT have race-day registration available.
